This annual event in the calendar sees an Under 11 team and an Under 9 team compete against other ‘associations’ (mostly counties) across the country. This semi-final stage pits Somerset against other teams in the south of England. The U11s competed against 6 other teams in Maidenhead; and the U9s compete in Southampton on 14th March (results will be updated here when they are in!)
The Under 11’s once again qualified for the final, finishing in 5th place out of 7 teams. The team scored consistently each round, with 8 points in the 1st and 2nd rounds and 7 points in the 3rd and final round from the 20 boards playing.
The team now progress to play in the final on the 28th March. Good luck to everyone selected to take part and representing their county in this national competition.
